Luna Park Sydney investing A$30m in nine new rides
Luna Park Sydney has announced a major update with an investment of A$30 million in nine new rides, including children’s rides, thrill rides and an anchor coaster called The Big Dipper.
Luna Park Sydney will also update some of its other attractions, and state-of-the-art rides include six children’s rides, a thrill ride, a family coaster, and The Big Dipper.
The Big Dipper will be the first inline seating launch coaster in the world. It was designed by Intamin to ride low to the terrain, and has a top speed in excess of 70km/h.
“This investment will attract more people to Sydney and ensure that Luna Park continues providing joy and excitement to millions of families and children for the next 85 years and beyond,” said Minister for Jobs, Investment, Tourism and Western Sydney, Stuart Ayres.
“An investment of this size is great news for all of Sydney as it will create hundreds of jobs, help boost local tourism, and assist in the economic recovery of NSW post-COVID-19.”
