Global Village Dubai breaks world record for most nationalities on a theme park ride
A flagship UAE destination has broken yet another world record after welcoming the most nationalities on a theme park ride.
Global Village Dubai is on a mission to achieve 25 Guinness World Records in honour of the Silver Jubilee Anniversary. And his Month (April 10) the park claimed its title – after inviting 73 guests from 73 different countries to embark on the legendary Wheel of the World, a centrepiece at the destination.
Not only has it earned the park a new accolade, but also reflects their strong multicultural nature and reaffirms its prestige as a place where cultures from all four corners of the world come together.
To organise the ambitious world-record attempt, Global Village launched a campaign in partnership with Arabian Radio Network (ARN), which outputs on nine stations in the Emirate. ARN called for multi-national families of Dubai to come together for the attempt.
To ensure the highest standards of safety amid the pandemic, Global Village encouraged members of the same household who are from multiple nationalities to take part.
Each rider was gifted a Silver Ticket in recognition for their participation and as a souvenir for the special day. They will also receive an official participation certificate from the Guinness World Records.
