State-of-the-art Snow Park Abu Dhabi slated to open in 2021
he world’s largest snow park is set to open this year in a rather unlikely location.
Snow Park Abu Dhabi is on track to launch this year at the new next-generation $1.2 billion Reem Mall. The ultimate snow destination is set to include 125,000 square feet of winter-themed activities, including 13 rides and attractions.
As soon as visitors enter the snow park, they’ll feel a million miles away from the sun-kissed heat of the UAE. Guests will firstly navigate through the Blizzard’s Bazaar, which includes ample of winter retail offerings, including hats, gloves and other memorabilia.
There is then the chance to have some hands-on fun in the spectacular Snowflake Garden, where smaller snow seekers can enjoy snowman building and plenty of icy-fun activities led by Snow Park Abu Dhabi’s special entertainment team.
Climbing up the Flurries’ Mountain is set to a centrepiece of the experience, which will navigate guests to the top of Snow Abu Dhabi’s Enchanted Tree. Reaching the summit of Flurries’ Mountain, guests will enjoy panoramic views of the various magical snow activities taking place below.
Not only will the setting emulate an authentic scenic resort, but will also feel like one too. The epic snow park has been designed to feature an inside temperature of a chilling -2C and include a snow depth of 500mm.
Commenting ahead of the grand launch, Shane Eldstrom, CEO of Al Farwaniya Property Developers said: “With an incredible story and stunning visual attractions, Snow Abu Dhabi will deliver truly enchanting experiences for the whole family.
“The activities and environments will work together, allowing guests to make new discoveries and experience shared memories, while creating a destination to which they wish to return again and again.
Adding: “The story behind Snow Park Abu Dhabi is the great differentiator from any other snow park in the world, and we look forward to revealing more details in due course.”
Snow Park Abu Dhabi was originally slated to open in the second quarter of 2020 to coincide the spectacular launch of two million square feet Reem Mall. However, the implications of the pandemic delayed construction works, ultimately delaying the debut to 2021.
