China. World’s Biggest Floating Water Park.
When it comes to tourism, China is known for its 'bigger is better' approach.
As a matter of fact, the world's longest floating walkway/Water park has just opened in south-west China's Guizhou Province, SW China, along Hongshuihe River Resort in Luodian.
The pathway, which has been certified as world’s longest such path by Guiness World Records, is 5127.37 meters (3.2 miles) long, covering an area of 54.000 square meters (13.3 acres).
The pathway is supported by 222.500 floating objects, anchored to the bottom of the river. So the whole floating pathway will move up and down as the water level changes.
The floating pathway was built by 2016 and used for a conference about tourism in Guizhou, but now re-opens with new facilities including floating swimming pools and water parks, to attract millions of potential tourists.
